Social Media Manager

We’re looking for a Social Media Manager who is equal parts strategist, storyteller, and operator, someone who can confidently own social strategy and day-to-day execution for a client account while collaborating with partners and creative contributors to bring content to life. This role is ideal for a senior social manager who understands brand-building and thrives in a connected, collaborative agency environment.
Role Overview
This contract, manager-level role leads social media strategy and execution for one client account with the opportunity to expand into additional clients over time. As the strategist on the account, you’ll set the direction and bring it to life through thoughtful planning, publishing, optimization, and community engagement, collaborating with creative, design, and external partners along the way.
This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in agency environments, is highly organized, creatively sharp, and proactive in spotting opportunities to improve content and processes. You’ll own content ideas, executional insights, and recommendations that elevate performance across platforms.
What You’ll Do
Social Execution & Content Management
- Lead day-to-day social media publishing for your client account.
- Build, manage, and maintain content calendars aligned to the strategy you set.
- Program and publish posts, reels, stories, and short-form video across Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook.
- Collaborate with copywriters and designers to ensure content aligns with brand voice, goals, and visual standards.
- Own content ideas informed by cultural moments and performance insights.
- Maintain consistency and quality across platforms with a strong editorial and aesthetic eye.
Partner & Collaborator Coordination
- Coordinate with partners and creative collaborators to keep content production and timelines on track.
- Help manage briefs, deliverables, deadlines, and key talking points across collaborators.
- Maintain clear, professional communication with external partners to ensure expectations and deadlines are met.
- Collect, organize, and deliver assets from collaborators for internal review, approvals, and publishing.
- Track content usage rights and permissions to support repurposing across channels.
Community & Engagement
- Engage with communities daily through comments, DMs, and mentions to foster authentic connection.
- Own the client relationship, providing strategic direction, content recommendations, and proactive communication.
- Flag opportunities, risks, or gaps in strategy with proactive solutions.
Performance & Reporting
- Track analytics, engagement, and community insights across platforms.
- Support monthly reporting with key metrics, insights, and optimization recommendations.
- Use performance data to inform future content and creative direction.
Collaboration
- Work closely with creative, design, and video editing partners to keep workflows moving smoothly.
- Participate in brainstorms and campaign ideation sessions.
- Own the client relationship and attend all client calls, providing strategic direction and executional updates.
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve social and content workflows.
What We’re Looking For
- 3–5 years of experience in social media management or digital marketing, ideally within an agency or multi-brand environment.
- Strong working knowledge of Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and short-form video formats.
- Proven ability to set and own social strategy independently.
- Experience managing content calendars, publishing workflows, and social analytics.
- Experience coordinating with partners or external collaborators.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Comfortable owning strategy and collaborating cross-functionally.
- Proficiency with tools such as Asana, Notion, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Slack, and Google Workspace.
- A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset.
- Passion for storytelling, creativity, and aesthetics.
Bonus Points If You
- Light to moderate short-form video editing experience (CapCut, Instagram Edits, Premiere Pro/Rush).
- Experience coordinating with creative partners.
- Experience in CPG, wellness, lifestyle, film, or regulated categories.
