Turn Off, Tune In: A Pause From The Hamster Wheel
When was the last time you unplugged to truly tune in?
In the midst of busy days and overflowing schedules, clear communication and quality work can be compromised. To stay creatively inspired, we turn to Hal Elrod’s 'Miracle Morning' practice.
Before touching your phone or being overloaded by external stimulus each morning, try the following SAVERS routine:
SILENCE 🧘♀️ Take a moment to meditate—sit or lie down peacefully. Need support? We recommend Manoj's soothing guided meditations on Open.
AFFIRM ✨ Speak three positive things about yourself out loud, preferably in front of a mirror. If you're new to this practice, give it a try for a week until it becomes natural. You won't regret it.
VISUALIZE 💭 Envision your best day: confident and efficient. Perfectly tied shoelaces, punctual meetings, and moments to savor outdoors.
EXERCISE 🏋️♀️ Elevate your energy and overall confidence with some movement. We personally love a 10-minute ab burner from our friend, Pilates by Kerstin.
READ 📖 Spend time with a productive book, reading at least 10 pages. Currently, we're digging Jay Shetty’s 'Think Like a Monk'.
SCRIBE ✍️ Writing in analog creates new neural pathways in the brain. You can reflect, track progress, or cultivate gratitude. Need prompts or information to start? We love AllSwell Creative and our sweet friend / mentor, Laura Rubin.
Taking care of ourselves is vital for our growth in all capacities. Embracing SAVERS (or any!) morning routine to set the tone for a successful day ahead helps to brighten your day (and the days of those around you).
When will you unplug?
