Creator Roundup ~ Environment Edition
Humans and organizations can (and should!) leverage their platforms for positive impact in the world.
“Education is the most powerful weapon you can use to change the world.”
It's all about empowering the right voices, and it is no secret that the climate crisis needs everyone's attention, like, a few decades ago.
Global warming can feel daunting. Sometimes all we need is a guiding light, a trustworthy resource, and a little bit of hope and motivation.
These voices motivate us, provide hope, and remind us that even small incremental steps can drive progress for our home 👇
LAUREN BASH | @relauren
If there’s one word we love most to describe Lauren, it’s passion. She brings it to everything she does from making relatable, easy-to-understand content to inspiring and educating her community about climate action. Through cooking videos and other vehicles of exploration, Lauren lands her messaging in ways that her community loves. Less doom-and-gloom, more environmental optimism.
SASHA CALDER | @a_resilience + @sashacalder
Sasha brings thoughtful optimism along with strategy and inclusiveness to everything she does surrounding the climate crisis. She brings together community unlike anything we’ve ever seen, all while working towards building resilient (😉) communities for the future, now.
LEAH THOMAS | @greengirlleah + @intersectionalenvironmentalist
Leah’s dream of environmental advocacy comes to life through her non-profit Intersectional Environmentalist, a climate justice collective radically imagining a more equitable and diverse future of environmentalism. Access is essential, and Leah is committed to dismantling systems of oppression to protect people and the planet.
PATTIE GONIA | @pattiegonia
Pattie Gonia unites environmentalism with LGBTQIA+ advocacy. Pattie has organized PRIDE events in Yosemite and drag shows in the great outdoors (we wanna come!), all aimed at fostering inclusivity in these incredible adventure locales for marginalized groups.
AMIE ENGERBRETSON | @amieski
Amie is a professional skier & climate advocate who uses her role in the Protect Our Winters Athlete Alliance to influence climate policy in Washington DC. She lobbies lawmakers for environmentally friendly legislation, promoting the interests of the winter spots community and advocating for the future of our home. We were lucky enough to work with her in Protect Our Winters’ Stoke The Vote Film Tour last November. You can check it out here!
ALEXIS NIKOLE NELSON | @blackforager
Alexis is a dedicated foraging & environmental science expert. She motivates people to discover and utilize the food sources readily available in their own backyards, cultivating a personal bond with nature while promoting sustainability. One of the best ways we can connect with our home is to better-understand how she serves us, and Alexis’ content equips her community with the information necessary to advocate effectively and efficiently.

How do they DO it!? Well, we've got a hunch…
They spread awareness and drive conversation, inspiring action within their communities.
Their message doesn't isolate or shame their audience if the level of advocacy is anywhere near imperfect (perfection is not the goal!)
Content is captivating, educational, and is always rooted in values
Consistency & authenticity are the top priority in their actions
